SDL-DG Development
The current development code may be obtained via anonymous CVS.
To checkout the current code, issue the following commands:
cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@coil.tempusmud.com:/usr/local/cvsroot login
(hit enter for passwd)
cvs -z 3 -d :pserver:anonymous@coil.tempusmud.com:/usr/local/cvsroot checkout sdl-dg
The cvs server is a dual boot system. If the system is unavailable, then it is
probably booted to another operating system.
Help Wanted
- Coding
- On Win32 with voodoo3, the lightmaps behave strangely. See:
this page for details.
- The collision detection code is a bit screwy. Strange things happen
at line segment endpoints, and sometimes entities go where they shouldn't.
In fact, the collision detection is far worse on Win32 than on Linux,
using the mingw32 cross compiler for Win32. Any ideas?
- General code review and criticism is always welcome.
- Port to Solaris, IRIX, BeOS, Mac, and others is welcome!
- Media
- Sounds
- Footsteps, magic sounds, etc...
- Music
- Ominous sounding, suspensful dungeon crawl music. MOD type
music is ideal, but mp3 is also good.
- Models
- Need some dungeon style models. Undead of any sort are
especially needed. Anything evil. I currently have
a very nice knight model and a skeleton/zombie.
